+++Attention+++

Dear participants of the Infrared Colloquium 2023,

Fortunately, the imminent strike of the German railroad company (“Deutsche Bahn”) could be avoided! Nevertheless, there might still be some changes to train schedules and various regional train companies are still on strike (especially concerned are the Frankfurt/Neuwied Rhine line and various connections in Bavaria).

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to your travel and arrival in Freiburg, Germany. We hope that you all have a safe and as stress-free as possible trip under these circumstances and urge you to check your travel connections.

If you have any questions or need help with your travel in/to Germany/Freiburg feel free to contact us via email or phone (+49 761 5159 659).

We look forward to welcoming you all as planned!

45th Freiburg Infrared Colloquium

May 16 – 17, 2023

Infrared laser and detector technology is key for the development of high-performance systems for defense, security and space applications.

In addition to those traditional fields, the role of infrared lasers and detectors in areas like medical diagnostics, gas analysis, spectroscopy as well as material processing and testing is growing rapidly.

The Freiburg Infrared Colloquium brings together scientists, development engineers and users of infrared lasers and detectors. Topics cover physics and material science of infrared components as well as device fabrication and system aspects. To foster a lively exchange during the workshop, a poster session is scheduled for the first afternoon.
